ePropulsion has partnered with New York-based aluminium boat manufacturer Marathon Boat Group, the company behind the DuraNautic Boats and Grumman Canoes brands.
The collaboration, developed alongside exclusive North American distributor Mack Boring & Parts Co., will see ePropulsion’s electric outboard solutions offered across both product lines.
The agreement will give DuraNautic and Grumman customers access to ePropulsion’s full range of electric motor systems — from compact portable units suited to canoes and kayaks, to higher-powered outboards compatible with larger aluminium boats.
“We’re thrilled to partner with DuraNautic Boats and Grumman Canoes and bring electric power options to their legendary aluminium boat brands,” says Tom Watson, president of ePropulsion Americas.
“Electric systems offer the perfect environmentally-conscious option to pair with a day on the water in vessels of any size. We’re confident that their customers will appreciate the versatility and dependability ePropulsion systems will bring to their boats,” adds Watson.
Greg Kiernan, general manager of Marathon Boat Group, adds: “As battery power grows on the water, we’re proud to offer eco-friendly options that make boating simpler and help customers go farther, stay out longer and explore more – without losing the rugged reliability our core outdoors and hunting customers count on us for.
The partnership cements broader market trends toward electrification in small craft and inland boating segments, particularly as consumers seek quieter, low-maintenance alternatives to combustion engines.
The news follows ePropulsion’s continued market expansion, and its new partnership with Australia-based distributor Power Equipment for the Australian market.
