A UK-based metasearch platform for yacht rentals, Boatscribe has secured €250,000 in pre-seed funding to support its growth and integration into the wider travel sector.

Founded in 2023 by technology entrepreneurs and skippers Illia Koomoiskyi and Kyrylo Soliar, Boatscribe aims to simplify yacht rentals and position yachting as a more accessible part of mainstream travel.

The investment round was led by EOS Yacht Charter, a family-owned fleet operator. Boatscribe notes it is one of the few examples of intra-industry venture-style funding in yachting.

The firm plans to use the funding to accelerate three key areas. Firstly, it aims to integrate its platforms with others like Tripadvisor, Google Things To Do, and lastminute.com. Its roadmap will also look to develop an AI-powered yacht travel assistant and expand the market, targeting first-time travellers to broaden the yacht charter market.

“Within the next three years, our goal is to be the company that turns the yacht charter industry upside down,” says Illia Kolomoisky, co-founder and CEO of Boatscribe. “We want to bring an entirely new, active, and high-spending audience into yachting — and serve as the bridge between travellers and charter partners worldwide,” Kolomoisky adds.

According to Boatscribe, the upcoming AI assistant will offer personalised yacht and destinations recommendations for consumers while providing automation tools for charter companies and brokers to streamline sales and support.
