Nimbus Group has secured its first order from Japan for its flagship model, the Nimbus 495 Flybridge.
The order was placed by Japanese dealer Winckler & Co. Ltd, which has previously represented and sold Nimbus-branded boats in the local market.
Launched in late 2023, the nearly 15-metre Nimbus 495 Flybridge is the largest model produced under the Nimbus brand to date. The yacht has been developed for extended cruising and longer stays on board.
Until now, deliveries of the flagship model have been concentrated in Europe, with additional sales known in the US and the Middle East. This Japanese order marks the model’s first entry into the Asia-Pacific market and the international demand for larger Nimbus motor yachts.
At last year’s boot Düsseldorf 2025, the model was named European Powerboat of the Year (in the category for boats up to 18 metres). For the 2026 boot Düsseldorf event, the Swedish boat manufacturer will present the Nimbus 495 Coupe digitally, with deliveries beginning in 2027. There will also be a 495 Flybridge on display at the Nimbus stand.
Johan Inden (appointed as CEO in May 2025), notes: “The Nimbus 495 Flybridge addresses a customer segment we have not previously targeted so clearly. It represents our decades of expertise in building world-class motorboats and reinforces Nimbus’ strong position in the premium segment.”
