The new Geniuss HTS Cruiser 380 made its world debut at last week’s Cannes Yachting Festival, engineered for use either as a superyacht tender or as an independent craft for accessing beaches, coves and shallow-water anchorages.
Developed by Geniuss, which was recently acquired by Italian RIB builder Gommoni Callegari, the HTS Cruiser 380 is powered by a Mercury 40hp Jet Power engine.
Its patented Geniuss HTS system eliminates the conventional outboard leg from the tender’s external profile. The sliding support, combined with a folding transom and the possibility of moving the engine inside the tender, optimises weight distribution during launching and recovery while reducing drag when the tender is towed.
The system also allows larger tenders to be stored in limited spaces, aiming to improve practicality and safety while eliminating the risks associated with an exposed lower unit. Operation can be either manual or electro-hydraulic, with remote control available.
Mercury Jet Power: designed for shallow waters
The compact model has been engineered for easy handling and confident operation in shallow waters. The Mercury 40hp Jet Power, driven by a four-cylinder, 995cc engine, is engineered specifically for shallow-water operation. With no submerged propeller, it provides a distinct advantage when approaching beaches, entering narrow coves or navigating areas with critical water depths.
Its compact design, single overhead camshaft and long-stroke architecture is designed to deliver strong low-end torque, providing responsive and progressive acceleration.
Despite its four-metre length, the Cruiser 380 offers a practical and comfortable layout.
The helm area features a double seat for driver and passenger, while an additional integrated seat is incorporated into the console. A forward locker provides storage for the fuel tank, with an integrated fuel line keeping the deck clear and uncluttered.
Comfort and finishing details include a bow cushion and synthetic teak decking on the console and forward locker. A dedicated towing eye is also positioned at the bow.
Jet tender targets easy handling
The combination of the Mercury 40 HP Jet Power with the patented Geniuss sliding outboard support system simplifies engine handling and tender management.
Standard equipment includes auto-trim tabs, navigation and courtesy lights, a 50Ah battery with battery switch and charger, together with the bow cushion and synthetic teak finish.
The package will be immediately available on the international market.
