“We’re doubling up,” says Erna Rusi CEO Saxdor. “Boats are getting bigger, and so is the space.”
The Finnish company is expanding its production in Poland with a second facility introducing another 10,000 square meters of production space in Elk.
This comes in direct response to demand for larger day boats. In January 2026 Saxdor launched the 460 GTC in Düsseldorf.
Demand drives Saxdor’s 460 platform expansion
“We were told that nobody in this market, or in this industry, can sell more than 60 units per year in that size category. We said, ‘Okay’, and we sold more than 60, and we could have sold more,” says Rusi. But production limited that outcome.

“Now we’re bringing the open boat to complement the coast cabin boat that was introduced in Düsseldorf, and it seems that the appetite is there for doubling the production,” she notes.
The company launched the Saxdor 460 GTS at Cannes Yachting Festival 2026.
“We’re right on the verge of moving into really the big boys’ league,” says Rusi. It’s impressive considering a mere six years ago the company had “a small parking lot space [at Cannes Yachting Festival] where nobody could see or find us.
“Everything is still moving upwards with Saxdor,” she says, as evidenced by the fact that Saxdor grew its annual revenue by 65 per cent from €109 million in 2024 to over €180 million in 2025.
Saxdor targets further US growth
In March 2026, Saxdor became part of Malibu Boats, a US stock-listed company. Rusi is more than comfortable with the benefits that brings.
“We get more muscle behind us. We get bigger growth opportunities. We have incredible colleagues over in the US and opportunities in the US market.
“We have now started the US production as well, so our first model is now, as we speak, being produced in Fort Pierce in our Pursuit factory in Florida.” Pursuit Boats is also a member of Malibu Boats’ family.
The focus is now to expand the footprint in the US to new areas.
New Saxdor 460 GTS launches at Cannes

The Saxdor 460 GTS’s being marketed as an ‘exceptional waterfront entertainment platform’ with a spacious and highly social layout.
As well as fold down terraces, it’s got four optional sliding glass doors, an aft enclosure and a retractable roof allowing the boat to transform from a protected environment into a fully open yacht.
“The new Saxdor 460 GTS builds on our proven 460 platform while introducing a number of important developments that make the experience on board even more versatile and comfortable,” says Daniel Scharf, chief product officer.
“The raised starboard-side deck creates a particularly spacious and highly practical walkaround layout. True to Saxdor’s DNA, the 460 GTS is also designed for owners who love being at the helm: three newly designed helm seats with 360-degree rotation further improve comfort and ergonomics at the driving position, while the yacht delivers exhilarating performance, responsive handling and speeds exceeding 50 knots.”
Modular approach keeps production efficient

Below deck, the 460 GTS builds on the configuration of the 460 GTC (more details are available on the company’s website), offering three cabins. The forward cabin features a separate shower, while the aft cabin is complemented by its own head. Practical additions such as USB-C and AC outlets further enhance the functionality of the accommodation spaces, while carefully selected high-end materials and greater attention to fit, finish and craftsmanship bring a refined feel throughout.
“We’re trying to be smart about the products we’re developing . . . all our boats are a family member on a certain platform . . . that is what keeping us efficient, that can be competitive size-wise. The modular thinking is always there when we start the development from a blank canvas,” Scharf continues.
He says keeping true to proven technology also makes it easier to “roll a product into a bigger product. We’re following the same road with, we’re following the same principles, we’re following the same patterns when it comes to the suppliers, collaborations and so forth.” This means Saxdor always uses Mercury, the same rafts, the same Dometic air conditioning units and so on.
Changing scale and strategy
The production expansion marks a significant shift in Saxdor’s scale and strategy. The addition of 10,000 square metres of space reflects the company’s growing focus on larger boats, with the 460 platform already exceeding the sales volume Saxdor says the market had been expected to support.
At the same time, its integration into Malibu Boats is giving the Finnish builder access to additional manufacturing capacity and expertise in the US, where Saxdor has now begun production at Pursuit’s Fort Pierce facility. With further expansion planned in the US, and a modular product strategy designed to increase model variety without adding unnecessary production complexity, Saxdor is building the capacity and infrastructure to support its next phase of growth.
