Schenker Watermakers expands its Qube range with new Qube 30

Schenker Watermakers’ new compact 30-litre-per-hour watermaker brings Qube technology to smaller boats, combining a space-efficient horizontal layout with low power consumption.

The new Qube 30 is a compact watermaker designed for smaller boats where installation space is at a premium. Drawing on the company’s Zen and Qube watermaker ranges, the system challenges traditional watermaker design with a compact footprint, streamlined layout and total installation flexibility.

First came the Zen range’s ultra-flat architecture, which represented a significant departure from traditional watermakers. This approach was subsequently developed into the Qube watermarker concept, introduced at Cannes Yachting Festival and Genoa International Boat Show in 2025 with the Qube 65 and Qube 100, delivering 65 and 100 litres per hour respectively.

The new Qube 30 is aimed at boats of around 40ft, typically carrying three or four people, and produces 30 litres of fresh water per hour. Power consumption is 110 watts, while the unit can operate directly from either 12V or 24V service batteries.

Rather than simply reducing the dimensions of an existing system, the Qube architecture has been conceived around the realities of modern onboard installation. Its predominantly horizontal configuration makes efficient use of locker space, while the absence of off-the-shelf components allows Schenker to optimise the system around its intended application.

The Qube range uses a latest generation energy recovery system designed to deliver high output while keeping electrical consumption low. The system can be connected directly to the boat’s service batteries, avoiding the need for a dedicated power supply and simplifying installation.
