Saxdor Yachts has announced a leadership transition following a mutual agreement with chief executive officer Erna Rusi to step down.
The shipyard has initiated a search for a permanent successor. Eric Lindquist, chief growth officer of Malibu Boats, will step in as interim chief executive officer to lead the company during the transition. In March 2026, Finnish boatbuilder Saxdor Yachts was acquired by US giant Malibu Boats, in a deal valued at approximately €150 million (USD $175 million).
The Finnish boatbuilder has extended its gratitude to Rusi for her five years at the helm, during which Saxdor expanded production capacity, built an international sales footprint and established itself as one of the fastest-growing boat brands in the sector. Saxdor Yachts recently told MIN it is doubling Polish production as demand for larger day boats drives 460 GTS expansion.
Lindquist comments: “We would like to thank Erna for everything she has contributed to Saxdor over the past five years. The growth and momentum the company has achieved are a testament to the strength of the team and the vision built together.

He continues: “As we look ahead, our priority is to find the right leader to guide Saxdor into its next chapter. We are committed to preserving Saxdor’s autonomy and ensuring that it continues to operate and grow as a standalone global brand, with its own distinct identity, ambitions and close relationships with its partners and customers. We are excited about the opportunities ahead and confident in Saxdor’s continued potential.”
Saxdor claims it remains firmly focused on driving innovation in the sector, international expansion and strengthening its global dealer network, building on the strong foundations established over the past few years.
