Safe Harbor Marinas has confirmed the acquisition of Los Sueños Marina in Costa Rica, expanding its international portfolio.
“Los Sueños is a wonderful addition to Safe Harbor. The sportfishing mecca draws enthusiasts from California to the Carolinas,” says Baxter Underwood, chief executive of Safe Harbor Marinas.
Located on the central Pacific coast of Costa Rica, Safe Harbor Los Sueños is equipped to handle luxury sportfishing boats and larger yachts. The facility includes 200 wet slips and 166 dry slips, along with a fuel dock and a selection of restaurants and hospitality services. It can accommodate vessels up to 180 feet.
“We are excited to continue growing our network of premier boating destinations while providing Members with unparalleled service,” says Carolina Corral, senior vice president at Safe Harbor Marinas.
The news comes two months after global investment firm Blackstone completed the acquisition of Safe Harbor Marinas, the largest marina and superyacht servicing business in the United States, from Sun Communities for $5.65bn.
Safe Harbor currently owns and operates 140 marinas and shipyards across a range of global waterfront locations.
