Alewijnse is consolidating its Dutch yachting operations as part of a longer-term integration strategy, bringing the activities of Tijssen Elektro fully under the Alewijnse Netherlands name from 1 January 2026. The move reflects a shift towards operating as a single organisation to improve efficiency, project delivery and technical coordination for increasingly complex yacht projects.
Under the change, all administrative functions of Tijssen Elektro will be discontinued, with its business activities continuing within Alewijnse Netherlands. The integration also applies to Tijssen Elektro AV Systems and Tijssen Elektro Zeeland.
The decision marks the next phase in the integration process that began when Alewijnse acquired Tijssen Elektro on 1 June 2023. Since then, the two companies have worked together to support the Dutch yachting sector, providing electrical, automation and related services for yachts ranging from 30 to 130 metres.

By combining operations, Alewijnse aims to streamline internal processes and create a more flexible organisational structure. Operating as a single entity is intended to improve coordination across disciplines and allow the business to respond more quickly to customer requirements. The integration also brings together complementary expertise, expanding Alewijnse’s capabilities in delivering integrated technical solutions for large and technically demanding yacht projects.
Customers, partners and associates have already been informed of the changes directly, and counterparties have been advised to contact Alewijnse with any questions relating to the transition.
Alewijnse has more than 135 years of experience delivering electrical and automation solutions across maritime and industrial sectors. As a systems integrator, the company provides services including electrical installations, power distribution, propulsion and generation systems, process automation, audio-visual and information technology solutions, safety and security systems, and navigation and communication systems.
The company works across multiple markets, including yachting, naval and governmental vessels, dredging, offshore and industrial projects. Its scope (which is detailed on its website) covers newbuilds, refits and maintenance, as well as industrial projects in areas such as drinking water, food production and selected manufacturing sectors.
Alewijnse is headquartered in the Netherlands and operates internationally, with offices in Romania, France, Spain and Vietnam. The company employs more than 1,000 people worldwide, supporting projects across Europe and beyond.
