St Katharine Docks Marina has been awarded five gold anchor status for a third consecutive time.

The central London marina has retained the Five Gold Anchor Award, a programme run by The Yacht Harbour Association (TYHA).

St Katharine Docks is part of the TYHA Gold Anchor network, which includes 151 marinas across 30 countries.

Marina manager, Tom Lord, says: “We are delighted to announce that we have successfully renewed our TYHA Gold Anchor accreditation at the 5 Gold Anchor level. This recognition counts St Katharine Docks Marina among the highest level of marina facilities across the UK and abroad. Ongoing accreditation at this level is testament to the consistent effort put in across the whole site, from the various teams that contribute to its daily operation. The marina team are very proud to have achieved renewal of this prestigious industry accreditation and remain dedicated to providing the best possible marina experience to our berth holders and visitors, at our historic marina.”

Occupying three historic interlinked basins, St Katharine Docks Marina has 185 berths for vessels up to 40m long, as a visitor or on long-term berth contracts. Opened in 1828, the Thomas Telford-designed docks were once one of the busiest ports in the UK. Today, St. Katharine Docks has evolved into a thriving waterside location, positioned right next to the Tower of London and Tower Bridge.

THYA’s assessor, Barnaby Hayward, adds: “As one of the city’s most diverse and dynamic marinas, St. Katharine Docks continues to set the standard for excellence in the UK and international marina community. Congratulations to the entire team at IGY St. Katharine Docks Marina on achieving this outstanding milestone once again.”
