Automotive detailing manufacturer, Gtechniq, has expanded its marine care offering with the launch of its RIB Care range, a cleaning and protection system developed for rigid inflatable boats (RIBs).
The range comprises two products: Gtechniq RIB Cleaner and Gtechniq RIB Protector, intended as a two-step cleaning and protection system for inflatable boat tubes.
During use, RIBs are exposed to salt water, UV radiation, dirt and other marine contaminants. Changing weather conditions, coastal environments and storage periods can also affect the condition of inflatable surfaces, making regular cleaning and maintenance necessary.
Gtechniq RIB Cleaner is formulated to remove dirt, grime, salt deposits and other contaminants that accumulate during regular use.
Gtechniq RIB Protector is applied after cleaning and is designed to provide a barrier against UV exposure, staining and environmental contamination which can help reduce the effects of ageing on inflatable surfaces.
The two products can be used for routine maintenance at different stages of boat use, including before launch, between trips and ahead of winter storage.
“RIB owners put their boats through some incredibly demanding conditions, and keeping them looking good requires products designed specifically for the materials they are made from,” says Michael Braybrook, Gtechniq’s marine marketing manager. “The new RIB range gives customers a straightforward way to clean and protect their boats using products that are PFAS-free and marine safe, whilst still providing exceptional protection against the marine environment.”
The company says the RIB range is available through authorised Gtechniq dealers and marine detailing specialists worldwide. RIB Cleaner is priced at £11.50 RRP for 500ml and £62.50 RRP for 5L. RIB Protector is priced at £18.95 RRP for 500ml and £110.00 for 5L.
