Port Dinorwic was a new venue for the Tuesday Club seeing 31 boats on the water with some of the sailors having not sailed in tidal waters it was looking like an interesting day with a steep learning curve (keep an eye on the locals!)

As always, we can rely on Ingrid Abery to capture fantastic images on the water, and this time it’s Ladies Day at Cowes Week.

Few dinghy classes can boast such a long and fascinating history as the Sharpie. Designed in 1931 by the German Kruger brothers, they won a design competition for a fast sailing dinghy under 6M, capable of being used for camping.

Local crews took on the world’s best for sailing supremacy at the 34th edition of the Channel Islands Hobie Cat Championships. The event was sponsored by Savills Jersey for a seventh year running and hosted by the Royal Channel Islands Yacht Club.

With racing already cancelled for the day, hulls tied down with masts removed, the sailors eased themselves into day 2 with the breeze building to boat-breaking proportions by the prescribed 1pm start time.

Thanks to Vanessa Devereaux for planning and organising the 2025 GP14 National Championships as it kicked of in style at beautiful Tenby. The welcome from the Sailing Club volunteers was amazing as they guided the fleet through the narrow streets.
