With only one race possible on Monday at the SSL Gold Cup Brasil 2026 European Qualifiers, Tuesday was going to be intense for the teams, with a full schedule of racing to try and bring the schedule back on track.

The fleet launched just after midday for the planned three races in fantastic conditions for skiff sailing. Despite getting near to 20 knots by the third race, the breeze was like a little tickle compared to yesterday’s punch in the face.

The 2026 Squib East Coast Championships was held at the Royal Burnham YC during their annual Whitsun Regatta. It was blessed with champagne sailing conditions and temperatures reaching an impressive 27°C.

After nearly 48 hours at sea in the third edition of the Vendée Arctique, Francesca is flying along, very close to the Irish coast onboard 11th Hour Racing, and holding fifth position out of the eight boats still racing.

Unfortunately, today’s races have been cancelled due to severe weather conditions. As this follows yesterday’s cancellation caused by a tsunami advisory, we have now lost two consecutive days of racing.
