It is with immense sadness and broken hearts that we have to announce the passing of TridentUK’s Co-Founder, Wife, Mother, Manager and Friend. She passed away surrounded by her family on Sunday afternoon.

On NOV 18th, 2022, at around 0700hrs Tapio Lehtinen woke to a loud crash from the back of his beloved ASTERIA. He was 450 miles off the coast of South Africa racing in the solo McIntyre Golden Globe Race around the world.

One race today, with a new wind direction, a steady 8-10knots from the southwest, with a long beat against the tide. With that the fleet was well behaved and we got away clean on the first attempt.

On the morning of Sunday 3rd August, the weather conditions were perfect with a South Westerly breeze to welcome our visitors to Medway Yacht Club’s 61st Medway Marathon. The day started early for those visitors, some of whom had travelled from afar.

So far the conditions on Lake Lipno have provided for excellent and challenging sailing, however being surrounded by hills and mountains can mean that the winds are shifty and can be light at time, and this proved to be the case on day 3.
