The coolest morning of the week greeted the 49 Melges 24 teams in Harbor Springs on Tuesday, but any chill disappeared quickly once the fleet hit the water for the opening day of the 2026 Melges 24 World Championship.

GB1’s AC40 race boat sustained damage after colliding with a Tudor Team Alinghi chase boat during training on the Bay of Naples, ahead of the second Preliminary Regatta of the Louis Vuitton 38th America’s Cup.

The third event of the 2026 MYA Scottish District IOM Travellers Series was hosted by Buchanness MYC near Peterhead. Forehill Reservoir, with its elevated walkways and clear open water, is renowned for delivering quality radio sailing.

Exe SC provided a fantastic two days of racing for the RS2000 fleet, with seven races producing a mixture of wind ranges, sea states, and plenty of close competition.

Over the weekend of the 19th & 20th of September, Fairlie Yacht Club organised its annual Open Autumn Regatta, sponsored by Largs Yacht Haven. This end of season regatta was based on the sailing areas off Largs on the Clyde.

It is already the home stretch, and for the 118 skippers, the pressure is mounting. In just over a month, on Sunday, November 1st in Saint-Malo, they will set off on the most famous of solo ocean sprints, the Route du Rhum – Destination Guadeloupe.

Across three very different days at Poole Yacht Club, the Zenith, Zen and Zenith II Nationals gave the fleet a proper championship test. Friday was all about nerve, judgement and seamanship in 30 knot gusts.

After a successful training camp, Tudor Team Alinghi has announced its crew for the second Preliminary Regatta in Naples. This morning, the four selected sailors arrived in style at their base in Nisida.

Horning Sailing Club enjoyed a breezy weekend’s racing with two events taking place over 19/20th September. The whole weekend saw the annual Yare & Bure Open take place on Hoveton Little Broad, attracting 10 participants.

The championship battle reaches its conclusion as the fleet welcomes new teams and prepares for the inaugural Cape 31 Gold Cup.
