It was a very light weather weekend for the opening races of Largs Regatta Festival 2026 sponsored by Saturn Sails.

The sun was shining, the temperatures returned to near-tropical (well, almost) and a south-easterly breeze of 10-12 knots was waiting to greet the 150-odd dinghies and keelboats as they headed out into the harbour.

Emirates GBR Driver Dylan Fletcher MBE said the team was ‘disappointed’ with its result at the ROCKWOOL Germany Sail Grand Prix, after fine margins saw the team miss out on the event final.

The NorthStar SailGP Team delivered an outstanding performance on Germany’s Baltic coast this weekend, securing second place at the ROCKWOOL Germany Sail Grand Prix in Sassnitz.

Two races were sailed on day one of the Aspire Merlin Rocket National Championships at WPNSA and today was P&B Race Day.

Tom Slingsby’s Bonds Flying Roos ended a two-event wait for a Final with a flawless win on the Baltic Sea, as NorthStar took second and Los Gallos third. Australia moved 14 points clear at the top of the 2026 Rolex SailGP Championship standings.

The Flying Roos were ashore and on their way to pick up the winner’s trophy, while the other three teams were still racing for second place in a bizarre Event Final at SailGP Germany.
