The International Council of Marine Industry Associations (ICOMIA) has appointed Carla Demaria as co-opted director to its board, bringing further boatbuilding and industry leadership experience to the organisation.
Demaria is recognised as a prominent figure within the global marine sector, having held senior roles across the yachting and manufacturing industries. Most recently, she served as chief executive officer of Bluegame, a brand of Sanlorenzo, and continues to serve as an advisor to the chairman and as a member of the Sanlorenzo Board of Directors.
She brings decades of experience in brand development, strategic transformation and global market expansion. During her time at Bluegame, Demaria oversaw the brand’s international growth, with a focus on innovation, design and sustainability.
ICOMIA said her industry knowledge and understanding of changing customer expectations and market dynamics would support the organisation’s work.
