Enrico Gennasio, sole shareholder and director of Cantieri di Pisa, has taken over direct operational control of the Italian shipyard.
The move increases his involvement in the day-to-day management of the business, as the yard accelerates its growth strategy.
Gennasio (pictured left) will provide a fresh boost to the relaunch process set in motion following the company’s acquisition.
This new phase of growth is expected to see production growth, refit business consolidation, and construction progress on new yacht projects.
The aim of ensuring that the ownership has even more direct strategic oversight of the shipyard’s operations and the company’s growth plan.
Cantieri di Pisa’s growth plans
Since the change of direction in 2021, the ownership has invested in the company’s skill base and in safeguarding the workforce, gradually bringing production back on line and restoring Cantieri di Pisa to its position as a strong competitor on the international yachting scene. Today, the shipyard has consolidated its presence in the refit sector, at the same time as returning to its leading role in the new-build segment.
Currently under construction at the yard is the custom 40-metre yacht already sold to a European owner – the first all-metal boat in Cantieri di Pisa’s history. Delivery is planned for summer 2027, followed by presentation at the Cannes Yachting Festival.
According to the yard, Gennasio is ready to expand the workforce as production ramps up, invest in the development of new models, and continue with a programme of investments in the shipyard’s infrastructure and production capacity.
