Production of Saxdor models has now started in the United States, with plans to extend US production across more models shortly.

This manufacturing strategy marks a new phase for Saxdor Yachts’, now part of Malibu Boats Inc (MBI), growth and commitment to the North American market. Complementing its established production operations in Poland and Finland, the MBI facility located in Fort Pierce, Florida, will support the company in responding to the growing demand for its boats, including across the Americas.

The first Saxdor 320 GTO produced in the US is now ready, with serial production getting underway and the Saxdor 270 GTO set to follow shortly. The company plans to progressively extend US production to additional models as the operations develop, bringing an increasing part of Saxdor’s manufacturing closer to its customers and partners in this key market.

Saxdor is also continuing to strengthen its dealer and service network across the continent as demonstrated by recent appointments of new partners in Canada, Argentina and the Caribbean. As part of its effort in the United States, Saxdor and MarineMax agreed to bring MBI dealers into regions where the brand’s long-standing US dealer is not currently present, helping to strategically extend coverage across additional market areas.

Don Smith, president of sales for the Americas at Saxdor Yachts, says: “The Americas represent a key market for Saxdor, and we are continuing to invest in the foundations needed to support its long-term growth. With the first 320 GTO now completed and more models to follow, we are bringing our production closer to our US customers while continuing to invest in the dealer, service and product infrastructure needed to support our long-term ambitions in the region.”

Saxdor 350 GTW to showcase at FLIBS

The Finnish brand is also preparing the next stage of its range expansion in the US. Saxdor will be at Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS), which runs from 28 October to 1 November, where it will showcase the flagship 460 GTC and debut the Saxdor 350 GTW – an updated version of the 340 GTWA.

The Saxdor 350 GTW features a revised wheelhouse structure which incorporates an updated sliding door system that allows both doors to slide fully back, opening up the entire side for a more open feel. Further updates include a new optional L-shaped sofa layout and additional flooring material options for the wheelhouse as well as air conditioning integrated into the helm console, which has completely been redesigned, and additional storage and refinements to the bow cabin. The model will also be available with twin Mercury Verado V10 350hp engines.

Additionally, the new Saxdor 460 GTS, which recently made its world debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival, is currently undergoing final testing, with preparations for serial production underway and introduction to the American market planned for mid-2027.

Ongoing developments in Saxdor’s offering

Further developments are already in the pipeline, including the 460 GTC aft-cabin version, adding a new configuration to the 460 platform and expanding the model range available to customers.

The recent introduction of Simrad AutoCaptain autonomous docking technology developed by Navico Group is one of the latest examples of the company’s focus on integrating advanced technological solutions into its boats to enhance the ownership experience and attract new generations of boaters. This approach also extends to the digital experience on board, with Boat IQ, an AI companion built directly into the boat’s multifunction displays and connected in real time to Saxdor AI, the knowledge platform developed in collaboration with Cadentia.

Cadentia will showcase its technology at Metstrade.

At the same time, Saxdor is working with Navico Group on technical programs designed to equip local teams on the ground with the latest knowledge and expertise around new onboard solutions, supporting faster and more efficient servicing of vessels across the market.

Saxdor’s return to Fort Lauderdale therefore comes at an important moment in the company’s development in the US. With local production now underway, an expanding dealer and service network, new models in development and continued investment in onboard technology, the company is strengthening the infrastructure needed to support its growing presence in one of its key global markets.
