Mercury Racing unveils two new propellers promising 150 extra RPM

Two Pro Finish propellers from Mercury Racing

Mercury Racing has unveiled its new Rev XR and Rev XST propellers at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS). These expand the Revolution X propeller family with two new Pro Finish options. The idea is to enhance performance and give Mercury V10 Verado customers greater control over boat lift characteristics.

“The right propeller can make a significant difference in how a boat performs, and every hull and setup has different needs,” says Nick Petersen, Mercury Racing’s category manager for propellers, controls and rigging. “The Rev XR and Rev XST give V10 Verado customers more options to optimise their setup and achieve the performance characteristics they’re looking for.”

Based in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, Mercury Racing (a division of Mercury Marine which is itself a division of Brunswick Corp) describes itself as producing high-performance outboards, sterndrives, propellers, parts and accessories.

Pro Finish options target V10 Verado performance

Both the Rev XR and Rev XST are hand-finished by Mercury Racing to Pro Finish specifications and are expected to deliver approximately 150 additional RPM compared with a stock Revolution X propeller.

The two models offer distinct options based on a boater’s performance goals and hull characteristics. The Rev XR features a standard barrel length, while the Rev XST incorporates a shortened barrel designed to reduce stern lift. Both models are available in 20- through 33-pitch configurations. More details are available on the company’s website.
